About The Producer.......
Mike Mureddu
The Producer happens to be my husband Michael "Mike" Mureddu who worked for fifty years at the Newport Electric Corporation starting out in 1945 as a meter reader making seventy-five cents per hour. From there, he became a lineman, spending a good part of his career climbing poles for a living. A couple of years in the army from 1950 - 1952. and then back to Newport Electric. While climbing poles, Mike became active in the union, as an arbiter, vice president, president, and finally national vice president. In 1976, he moved into management as director of overhead and underground and then director of personnel. In 1990, Eastern Utilities purchased Newport Electric and Mike became Director of Industrial Relations and Safety for Newport and Blackstone Valley Electric. Mike retired in 1995.
For over 28 years, Mike wrote, produced, and directed the Saucy Sylvia Radio Show on W.A.D.K. Newport. As my true companion in both life and music, I dedicate this page to my husband.
